The representatives of the Doctoral School "Man, Societies, Risks and Territory" are pleased to announce the fifth annual Doctoral School Day, to be held at the University of Caen on March 13, 2026. This day, organized by and for doctoral students, will be an opportunity to present your research on the theme of "Vulnerabilities." Building on the success of the previous four editions (Territory, Risks, Living, and Tomorrow), this year we will explore our research topics and fields through the concept of vulnerability in its social, spatial, political, and environmental dimensions.
The day will allow participants to exchange ideas with other young researchers, develop interdisciplinary collaborations within our Doctoral School (including architecture, geography, psychology, neuroscience, sociology, education and training sciences, and STAPS), and share critical reflections on societal, environmental, and technological issues that cut across the humanities and social sciences. All forms of research are welcome, including fundamental, prospective, applied, experimental, and participatory research, as long as they contribute to thinking about, questioning, or putting vulnerabilities into perspective.
Practical information
Lunch and transportation for speakers traveling from one of the Normandy University sites will be provided.
